This fall, take your first steps into community engagement and discover how it goes beyond just volunteering. Connect with local community partners, hear from inspiring guest speakers, and design a project that tackles an issue you care about. You'll meet experts from fields like public health, science, city government, and the arts who'll share their real-world experiences. Local organizations will explain the impact of community engagement on the people they serve, and we'll explore interesting on - and off-campus locations in downtown Iowa City.

Whatever your goals as a Hawkeye, this seminar is your chance to:

  • Learn how to make a difference.
  • Build connections with your community.
  • Find your path to success during your time on campus.
